Size and weight
The Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite models each have a display size of 6 inches (15 cm).
The Kindle is 113 mm wide and 160 mm high, but with 8.7 mm it is slightly thicker than its successor, the Kindle Paperwhite. The latter is a bit bigger with a width of 116m and a height of 167 mm, but only has a thickness of 8.2 mm. While the Kindle still weighs 174 g, the Kindle Paperwhite already weighs 182 g (WLAN) or 191 g (WLAN 4G) depending on the configuration.
The Kindle Oasis model has a 7-inch (17 cm) display and thus has a larger screen than its predecessors. Its exact dimensions are: 141 mm wide x 159 mm high x 8.4 mm thick. The Kindle Oasis weighs 188 g.
Design & Features
The Kindle e-reader is available in black and white and has a storage capacity of 4 GB and is WLAN-enabled. The screen has a resolution of 167 ppi and has 4 LEDs as a front light. One drawback compared to the newer Kindle models: The Kindle is not waterproof. Reading in the bathtub or at the beach should therefore be done with caution.
The Kindle Paperwhite can be purchased in black, purple, green and dark blue and already has a storage capacity of 8 or even 32 GB. It is also WLAN-enabled and can additionally be purchased with a free cellular connection. In addition, the Paperwhite has Audible access. So you can easily switch between reading and listening via Bluetooth-enabled speakers or headphones.
Available Kindle Paperwhite colors:
The Kindle Paperwhite′s screen resolution of 300 ppi is quite a bit better than its predecessor, and the front lighting is already a bit brighter, too, with 5 built-in LEDs. The Kindle Paperwhite is water resistant, unlike the Kindle.
The Kindle Oasis model is available in gold or graphite and thus looks very classy. As with the Kindle Paperwhite, you can choose between a storage capacity of 8 and 32 GB. The model has a WLAN connection and can also be purchased with a free cellular connection. The screen resolution of 300 ppi does not differ from the Kindle Paperwhite model, but the front illumination has been increased again with now already 25 LEDs. In addition to its water resistance, the Kindle Oasis can boast other useful features. The color temperature can be adjusted individually and it has light sensors with automatic adjustment. This allows for optimal reading under any lighting conditions. It also has a very thin, lightweight and ergonomic design, built-in automatic page orientation adjustment so you can relax reading different formats, and for the first time, has a page turn button. The Kindle Oasis also has Audible access, offering variety between reading and listening.
Adjustable color temperature of the Kindle Oasis:
All models have in common that they have a non-reflective surface, which makes reading more comfortable. In addition, all devices come with a USB 2.0 charging cable and a quick start guide.
Battery life and charging times
All three devices also promise weeks of reading with only one battery charge. The manufacturers promise the following battery runtimes in more detail:
The Kindle′s battery is supposed to last up to four weeks with a daily reading time of 30 minutes. The battery of the Kindle Paperwhite lasts up to six weeks with a daily reading time of one hour with WLAN turned off and a lighting level of 13, and the Kindle Oasis lasts up to four weeks with a daily reading time of 30 minutes with functions turned off and a lighting level of 13.
The charging time for the Kindle model is about four hours, e.g. using a cable via the computer, and only about 3 hours for the Kindle Paperwhite and Oasis models.
A quick reference guide is included with each unit. In case you should lose the manual, these quick guides can also be found on the Internet. Furthermore, the respective manuals can also be found here:

Conclusion of the Kindle vs. Paperwhite vs. Oasis e-Reader Comparison
Do you just want to read a book every now and then? Then the [url="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07FQ4DJ7X?tag=soluba-21",name="Kindle",title="Kindle"] with its 4 GB is probably enough. However, if you are a frequent reader, like to read several books at the same time and also like to listen to audio games and podcasts, then the models [url="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B075QRWPPJ?tag=soluba-21",name="Kindle Paperwhite",title="Kindle Paperwhite"] and [url="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07L5GDTYY?tag=soluba-21",name="Kindle Oasis",title="Kindle Oasis"] might suit you better. You should also consider whether you are exposed to different light conditions while reading and how important individual settings are to you before buying. If the latter is particularly important to you, you should dig a little deeper into your pocket and treat yourself to the Kindle Oasis. If a predefined light setting is enough for you, you can choose between the Kindle and the Kindle Paperwhite with peace of mind.
Note, however, that the Kindle is not waterproof. So if you like to browse in the bath, it′s worth buying the Paperwhite or the high-end Oasis model.
I wish you good decisions and a lot of fun with digital browsing![asin="B07FQ4DJ7X",type="standard"][asin="B07741S7Y8",type="standard"][asin="B07L5GDTYY",type="standard"]
